Our vision

JGooders seeks to create a vibrant Jewish and Israeli platform that will connect our global Jewish community and ensure continuity via tikkun olam. As a social business, we hope to drive social justice in an efficient, sustainable manner by democratizing philanthropy providing NPOs with the knowhow and expertise to fundraise online. We believe that everyone has a right and responsibility to be socially involved and that gifts of all sizes can make a difference.

What is JGooders?

JGooders.com is an online giving platform for you to engage with Jewish and Israeli causes and network with like-minded people. An online community, JGooders offers you a new way, to implement tikkun olam, or social change, through personal involvement.

JGooders provides a unique forum for learning about a wide variety of specific projects and getting involved in several ways – donating, volunteering, activism and networking. Actively promoting transparency and an ongoing stream of information, JGooders enables you to learn, compare and keep track of the projects they have funded through a personal giving account.

Make a difference – your way: Enact genuine social change through online giving, volunteering and networking for the projects of your choice.
Experience the full spectrum of Jewish and Israeli good works programs: JGooders showcases the widest variety of organizations along with the specific programs that they are promoting.
Choose the projects you want to support: From an updated list of the current projects and programs, choose the ones that have personal significance and show your support.
Network with people like you: Network with the people who are involved in your project as well as with the organizers and staff. Endorse the projects you care about to generate more awareness and support.
Feel secure: All non-profits are registered and vetted by JGooders, and all credit card donations are handled securely and protect your privacy. JGooders is a neutral, objective platform that has no policy or agenda for promoting one organization or project over another.
Give personally or anonymously: You can donate with complete privacy and anonymity if you wish, or you can leave a personal message on the project wall. It’s your choice.
Give a gift with meaning: JGooders gifting cards are a meaningful way to honor a special occasion.
No commission: You want your donation to go straight to the project, so unlike other online giving sites, JGooders does not take a percentage from your gift. Organizations pay a small annual fee to join our site, and the direct costs of credit card and tax-deduction processing.
US tax deductible contributions: JGooders collects funds in the US via the Jewish Giving Online Foundation, enabling you to make tax-exempt contributions to Israeli or overseas nonprofits featured on JGooders without 501c3 status.
JGooders founders will annually invest at least 10% (tithe) of their share of the distributed profits to the projects in JGooders.com

JGooders founders: Ronit Dolev, Smadar Fogel, Judith Stern Peck and Jaap Meijers have been involved, together and separately, in the Israeli and Jewish world for more than two decades as social entrepreneurs, leaders and philanthropists: from leading Project Renewal to initiating the Jewish Agency’s incredibly successful Partnership 2000.

Serving as board members or consultants to major Jewish foundations and non-profit organizations, they decided to channel their broad knowledge and experience into an online platform that can upgrade knowledge, create connections and enrich this rapidly growing marketplace of good deeds and good doers.
